About the conference

The Graduate Student Topology and Geometry Conference (GSTGC) is an annual event for graduate students passionate about topology and geometry. Designed by and for students, the conference attracts over 120 participants nationwide. It offers a unique platform for presenting research, engaging with current studies, and networking with peers who share similar interests.

The primary aim of the conference is to expose graduate students to the latest research in topology and geometry. It provides a venue for students to present their work, whether it is original research or expository in nature. This opportunity helps students gain valuable experience in presenting and discussing their work in a formal setting.

Furthermore, the conference fosters an environment conducive to networking. Graduate students have the chance to connect with their peers, exchange ideas, and build professional relationships. The event also provides a rare opportunity to interact with and learn from experts and seasoned professionals in the field.

Most of the presentations at the conference will be delivered by graduate students, showcasing their research and insights. In addition to these student-led talks, the conference will feature several distinguished lectures by plenary and young faculty speakers, who will share their expertise and recent advancements in topology and geometry.
